Christmas 2008
Well, it's Christmas time again and this year was soooo much different then last year. Last year Mackenzie wasn't very interested. This year it was very exciting to see how excited Mackenzie was that Santa Clause came to see her. He even left her a "jiggle bell" from his sleigh. We had a great time with family and are so grateful that we have loved ones to celebrate this blessed day with.

Dutch Christmas
It is a Bosgraaf Family tradition to celebrate Dutch Christmas every year on December 5th. And this year was no exception. It is known that Sinterklass will bring gifts to the children who have good that year very similar to Santa Claus here in the United States. One important difference is that while Santa Claus may bring coal or nothing at all for those children who were naughty, Sinterklass will take the naughty boys and girls back with him to Spain in his sack.
Tradition says that if the children leave their shoes out on the front porch the evening on December 5th with some yummie treats for Sinterklass' horses, he will leave a sack of gifts and gold coins in the shoes of those who were good all year.
